1. Choose Clothing That Reflects Your Profession
Wear something you would normally wear when meeting an important client.
Solid colours generally photograph better than busy patterns or large logos. Navy, charcoal, black, white and earth tones are timeless choices that keep the attention on your face.
If you're unsure, bring two or three outfit options. We'll happily advise you on what works best on camera.
2. Get Plenty of Rest
A good night's sleep makes a real difference.
Fresh eyes, healthy skin and natural energy all contribute to a more relaxed, confident expression.
3. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water the day before and on the day of your session.
Well-hydrated skin photographs better and helps create a healthy, natural appearance.
4. Keep Hair and Grooming Natural
Book your haircut around a week before your session if possible, giving it time to settle.
Men should shave or trim their beard as they normally would for work.
For makeup, less is often more. Our goal is to capture the best version of you—not create someone different.
5. Arrive Relaxed
Many people tell us they don't enjoy having their photograph taken.
The good news is that you don't need to know how to pose.
We'll guide you through everything from posture and expression to head position and eye contact, ensuring you feel comfortable throughout the session.
6. Trust the Process

Small adjustments to your posture, shoulders, chin and expression can completely transform an image. That's why we work with you throughout the session until you're happy with the results.
You'll have the opportunity to review your images and select your favourites before they are professionally retouched.
